October Ipsy Glam Bag Subscription Unboxing and Review - Beauty Sample Subscription Service

Ipsy is one of the inexpensive beauty bag sample subscriptions. You receive 4-5 deluxe sample size or full size products each month. The cost is $10 US (+ $4.95 shipping to Canada).

Ipsy is generally make-up products with a mix of skincare, nail polish, and hair products based on a beauty profile you complete. There is usually 12-18 products that are selected from each month! You can view your "glam room" online that tells you all the products you will receive each month. You also receive a make-up bag each month with your products.

My last few Ipsy bags have been so late so it was so nice to get my bag earlier this month! Here is a look inside:

This month's theme is "Alter Ego" - This October, transform into whoever you want to be. A little imagination and your Glam Bag are all you need. Infinite possibilities, infinite ways to express yourself." The bag is duel-sided, one side is shiny black and the other gold - i'm not really a fan of it, but that's okay I will pass it on.

Looks like a good mix of products - here is a closer look:

Ayres Hand Cream - ipsy EXCLUSIVE Pampas Sunrise ~ sample size 20 ml for $6.25 (full size 40 ml for $12.50). Ultra rich, luxurious hand cream enriched with shea butter, plant emollients and herbal extracts moisturize dry skin. Formulated with fast absorbing lightweight oils that penetrate quickly to leave behind smooth, non-greasy, supple skin with improved elasticity. Lemongrass, mandarin, bergamot, patchouli and spearmint will awaken your senses, while an exotic background of cedar wood releases a musky scent.

This scent smells good and I am happy to use it. I like getting hand creams so I'm okay with this.

Peter Lamas Exfoliating Pumpkin Facial Scrub ~ sample size 1 oz for $7 (full size is 4 oz for $28). The Exfoliating Pumpkin Facial Scrub cleanses and purifies skin using a powerful combination of natural ingredients. Pumpkin Enzymes combine with Apple and Almond Acids to dissolve cellular debris within the pores while Apricot Grains and Micro-spheres gently polish away dead skin cells. An intoxicating blend of Pumpkin Oil, Aloe Vera and Vitamin E protect and hydrate skin to reveal an illuminating, flawless complexion.

Omgoodness this smells so good!!! This is so perfect for a Fall bag! And it works really great - this is awesome!

Emite Make Up Professional Slant Tweezer ~ 200 Krona (Swedish) = $30.98 CDN. This is a professional angled tweezer in quality steel. It applies the perfect amount of tension and maximum precision.

So this is an expensive pair of tweezers and I did need a new pair of tweezers - I will happily use these!

Aurora Gel Effect Nail Polish in Inky Dinky ~ full size $12.00 - currently on sale for $8.99. Wish you had a nail polish that had all the pros of gel polish and regular polish? Say hello to GEL EFFECT nail polish! It’s easy and convenient to use, dries super fast without a UV lamp, is extra shiny and durable, and will last up to two weeks. It can also be easily removed with polish remover! Talk about the best of both worlds.

This polish is a really pretty color - I haven't tried a gel polish and I am excited to try it!

theBalm Cosmetics Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long-Lasting Liquid Lipstick in "Committed" ~ sample size 1.2ml for $2.76 (full size is 7.4ml for $17). theBalm introduces a truly loyal long-lasting liquid lipstick—Meet Matt(e) Hughes. This long-wearing formula has a comfortable matte finish with no commitment issues. This matte vanilla mint liquid lipstick is stuck on you without feeling clingy!

I really like the Balm cosmetics - Committed is described as a pinky nude! Here is how it looks on:

I really like the color of this lipstick! I can tell you that this formula lasted all day, through meals and water. I really like this!

Ipsy came with 5 products (2 full sized), and a total value of $58.99. This is a good value (mostly those expensive Swedish tweezers) and a good mix of products. Again, I am happy with this month's bag and will use all of the products included!!
